I have just upgraded from the Vivosmart HR+ to the Forerunner 735XT. While my old Vivosmart heart rate reading were pretty accurate, my new 735XT appears to be way off of the mark. I've been wearing it for a week now, covering a couple of 10k runs at my fastest pace. The last shows my average heart rate at 127bpm and a maximum of 138.
Spoke to Garmin and we tried various things including a full reset of the device, which fixed it. Now get cadence, distance and pace when indoors/ not on GPS as I would expect. Lesson learned there - if in doubt do a Reset Settings first. Thanks for all your replies and suggestions :) Simon
If that does not work, go into your phone Settings. Then select the Application manager and select the one that causes you trouble. Afterwards you need to perform Clear Cache and Clear Data. This method theoretically should solve mentioned issue.

I have been writing to the danish Garmin support (always very helpful). They recommend a hard reset of the unit to make sure it isn't an app draining the battery. How do I backup userdata (I am primarily concerned about screenlayouts and custom activities - workoutdata and courses I can always get from Garmin Connect).

Top Replies. acquire a gps fix by going outside and start a run activity, once your gps turns green, the time should be corrected from the satellites. Change your gps setting to GPS+GLONASS, then go outside start an activity - hopefully youâll see the gps activate and the time and date reset - it worked for me!
